ARLINGTON, Texas (Interstat) — The Dallas Wings host the Portland Fire in a WNBA matchup Tuesday, Aug. 25, at College Park Center. Dallas (22-16) has won two straight, including a 92-70 victory over Seattle on Sunday. Portland (15-22) has lost two consecutive games, most recently a 105-100 defeat at Washington. Wings guard Paige Bueckers posted 32 points, four rebounds and four assists in 26 minutes against the Storm. She has scored at least 20 points in six of her last 10 games. Jessica Shepard added 11 points and 11 rebounds in Dallas’ latest win, and Awak Kuier had nine points and seven rebounds. Portland’s Carla Leite is the key player to watch. She totaled 27 points and 11 assists in the Fire’s loss to Washington, matching a 27-point, 11-assist outing she produced in a win over Toronto on Aug. 6. Over her past three games, Leite is averaging 19 points and 7.3 assists. The teams split their season series, with both games played in Portland. Dallas won 101-97 on July 22, and Portland won 84-83 on June 13. The Interstat game simulator projects a 95-88 Dallas victory. The Wings are installed as 7.5-point favorites, and the over-under is 176.5. Portland opens a trip at Atlanta on Friday, while Dallas hosts Connecticut on Sunday.
