ARLINGTON, Texas (Interstat) — The Dallas Wings will try to keep their playoff push on track when they host the Seattle Storm on Sunday, Aug. 23, at College Park Center in Arlington. Dallas (21-16) is coming off a 91-85 victory over Indiana on Thursday. Arike Ogunbowale scored 32 points in that game, adding three assists and two rebounds. She has reached at least 20 points in five of her past 10 games, including 24 against Atlanta on July 29 and 21 against Toronto on Aug. 12. The Wings have won both meetings with Seattle this season, taking a 112-110 overtime decision in Seattle on June 22 and a 79-56 home win on June 1. Seattle (7-30) has lost 10 of its last 11. The Storm fell 82-80 to Chicago at home on Aug. 16. Dominique Malonga led Seattle in that game with 19 points, 13 rebounds, two assists and four blocks. Over her past seven games, Malonga is averaging 19.9 points, 10.4 rebounds and 2.0 blocks. She scored 31 points and grabbed 10 rebounds against New York on Aug. 5, and had 26 points with 10 rebounds in Seattle’s 97-88 win over Chicago on Aug. 10. Dallas has been inconsistent recently, dropping three of its last five, but the Wings remain a strong home team and enter as the clear favorite. Interstat’s game simulator projects a 95-87 Dallas victory. Dallas is installed as a 6.5-point favorite, and the over/under is 173.5. The game is the final meeting of the regular season between the two teams. Seattle will look to snap a long losing skid and build around Malonga’s production in the paint, while Dallas will lean on Ogunbowale’s outside scoring and playmaking. Tipoff is scheduled for Sunday at College Park Center.
