WNBA: Fever-Dream Preview ATLANTA (Interstat) — The Indiana Fever visit the Atlanta Dream on Sunday, Aug. 16, 2026, at State Farm Arena in a WNBA matchup between two teams near the top of the standings. Indiana enters with a 22-12 record. Atlanta is 21-12. The Dream have won two of the three meetings this season, including a 113-96 home victory on June 20 and a 108-101 win at Indiana on June 18. The Fever took the opener 83-71 on June 4. Sunday’s game is the fourth and final scheduled meeting between the teams. Indiana is coming off a 98-87 home win over Dallas on Friday. Caitlin Clark scored 29 points and added 10 assists in 34 minutes. Aliyah Boston contributed 16 points and 10 rebounds, and Tyasha Harris added 15 points. The Fever have won three straight after back-to-back losses to Las Vegas and Minnesota on Aug. 6 and Aug. 2. Clark has been among the league’s most productive guards. Over her last eight games, she has averaged 24.9 points and 9.6 assists. She has scored at least 18 points in every game in that span and produced a triple-double on July 31 against Portland, finishing with 26 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. She also had 11 assists against Chicago on Aug. 8 and 10 assists against New York on Aug. 11. Atlanta enters off a 104-69 victory at Connecticut on Thursday. Rhyne Howard scored 29 points with five rebounds and four assists, and Allisha Gray also scored 29 points. Angel Reese added eight points and 15 rebounds. Howard has averaged 17.6 points and 4.8 assists over her last eight games. She has scored at least 19 points in five of her last six games, including a 23-point, eight-assist outing against Phoenix on Aug. 5. The Dream have won two straight since losing at Washington on Aug. 7. The Fever have scored at least 100 points in five of their last eight games. Atlanta’s defense will be challenged by Clark’s pace and Indiana’s transition offense. Atlanta is a 2.5-point favorite, according to sportsbooks, with the over/under at 188.5. Interstat’s game simulator projects a 96-87 Atlanta win. Indiana begins a four-game trip Tuesday at Toronto, while Atlanta travels to Las Vegas on Tuesday.
