SEATTLE (Interstat) — The Chicago Sky visit the Seattle Storm on Sunday at Key Arena in a WNBA matchup between teams near the bottom of the standings. Chicago (12-22) enters with a 71-91 loss to Golden State on Wednesday and has lost four of its last five. Seattle (7-29) dropped an 84-82 decision to Portland on Friday and has lost eight of its last nine. The teams met Aug. 10 at Key Arena, with Seattle winning 97-88. Chicago beat Seattle 95-90 on July 15 in Chicago. That Aug. 10 victory is Seattle’s only win in its past nine games. Center Kamilla Cardoso has anchored Chicago recently. She scored 20 points with six rebounds in the loss to Golden State and had 15 points and 13 rebounds in the Aug. 10 matchup with Seattle. Over her last five games, Cardoso has averaged 16 points and 9.6 rebounds. Seattle center Awa Fam scored 20 points with nine rebounds in Portland on Friday. She played 14 minutes and had two assists in Seattle’s win over Chicago on Aug. 10. The Interstat game simulator projects a 95-94 Chicago victory. The Sky are 1.5-point favorites, and the over/under is 179.5. Chicago’s next game is Tuesday against New York at home. Seattle next plays Aug. 23 at Dallas.
