Chicago (11-18) enters one game ahead of Phoenix (11-19) in the WNBA standings. The Sky won 84-83 at home against Las Vegas on Saturday, with Sydney Taylor scoring 29 points. Taylor has scored at least 14 points in each of her past nine games, emerging as a steady scoring threat for Chicago. Phoenix is coming off a 94-92 loss at New York on Saturday. DeWanna Bonner led the Mercury with 25 points and seven rebounds. She has been productive in recent weeks, including a 17-point, 10-rebound, three-block performance in a 91-89 win over Golden State on July 29, and a 21-point outing against Connecticut on July 19. The teams have split their two meetings this season. Chicago won 77-66 at Phoenix on July 7, while Phoenix took the earlier matchup 91-83 at home on May 15.
