MINNEAPOLIS (Interstat) — The Minnesota Lynx put a nine-game winning streak on the line Sunday when they host the Indiana Fever at Target Center. Minnesota (24-6) owns the WNBA’s best record and is a 5.5-point favorite. The over/under is 192.5. A computer simulation projects a 96-77 Lynx win. Indiana (19-10) has won five in a row. Caitlin Clark has been the catalyst, collecting 26 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in Friday’s 112-98 victory at Portland. She scored 45 points against Seattle on July 17 and has four 20-plus-point performances in her past seven games. Aliyah Boston added 14 points and nine rebounds against Portland, and Monique Billings scored 15. The Lynx counter with forward Natasha Howard, who had nine points, eight rebounds and four assists in Thursday’s 104-72 rout at Toronto. Napheesa Collier scored 16 in that game, and Courtney Williams also scored 16. Howard reached double-digit rebounds twice in her past seven games, with 12 against Seattle on July 20 and 10 against Los Angeles on July 15. Minnesota’s only loss in its past 10 games came July 6 at Connecticut, 90-89. Indiana’s last loss was July 15 against Golden State, and the Fever have won five consecutive since. After Sunday, Indiana travels to Las Vegas on Aug. 6. Minnesota hosts Los Angeles on Aug. 6.
