WNBA: Liberty at Wings Preview ARLINGTON, Texas (Interstat) — The New York Liberty look to snap a four-game losing streak Monday when they visit the Dallas Wings in a pivotal WNBA matchup at College Park Center. New York (13-12) enters the 7 p.m. CDT contest after an 88-108 loss at Indiana on Saturday, its seventh defeat in the past eight games. The Liberty have dropped three straight since a July 3 win over Minnesota, including consecutive losses to Dallas, Toronto and Indiana. Dallas (17-8) has won four of its past six and is coming off a 90-82 victory over Los Angeles on Sunday, a game in which Jessica Shepard, Paige Bueckers and Arike Ogunbowale led the way. The Wings hold a 2-0 series lead over New York this season, winning 91-76 on May 24 and 88-77 on July 7. Both victories came at home. A player to watch for New York is forward Breanna Stewart. The two-time league MVP has averaged 24.2 points and 7.2 rebounds over her past five games but is mired in a personal three-game losing streak. She scored 26 points in Saturday’s loss, adding eight rebounds and three assists. Stewart had 29 points and nine rebounds in the July 7 defeat to Dallas. The Liberty will be without momentum, having lost six of their past seven road games. Their only win during that span came June 23 at Las Vegas. New York’s offense has struggled, averaging 84.3 points over its past four games — well below its season average. Dallas, meanwhile, has been strong at home, winning seven of its last 10 at College Park Center. The Wings are averaging 90.1 points per game, third-best in the league, and have scored at least 88 points in six of their past seven contests. According to Interstat’s game simulator, the projected final score is Dallas 95, New York 85. The Liberty are installed as a 1.5-point favorite on the road, with the over/under set at 176.5. After Monday’s game, New York returns home for a two-game set against Chicago on Tuesday and Wednesday before embarking on a six-game road trip. Dallas begins a two-game series at Portland on Tuesday. Tipoff is at 7 p.m. CDT.
