ARLINGTON, Texas (Interstat) — The Dallas Wings, boasting the second-best record in the WNBA, host the Los Angeles Sparks on Sunday at College Park Center. Dallas (16-8) aims to extend its winning streak against a Los Angeles team (10-13) fighting for a playoff foothold. The Wings won the most recent head-to-head meeting, 104-96 on June 5 in Los Angeles. Forward Nneka Ogwumike leads the Sparks. Over her last eight games, the veteran has averaged 20.8 points, 8.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists, including three double-doubles in her last four outings (7/15 vs. Minnesota: 23 points, 12 rebounds; 7/10 vs. Chicago: 25 points, 12 rebounds). Guard Paige Bueckers has been the engine for Dallas, averaging 23.6 points, 5.8 rebounds and 6.3 assists during a four-game winning streak. She recorded 34 points and six assists against Toronto on July 10, and logged 22 points and 11 assists in the Wings’ 96-91 win over Chicago on July 12. Interstat’s game simulator projects a 95-84 Dallas victory. Following Sunday’s matchup, Dallas faces New York at home Monday. Los Angeles returns home to host Phoenix on Tuesday.
