WNBA: Liberty at Wings ARLINGTON, Texas (Interstat) — The Dallas Wings look to extend their winning streak to five games when they host the New York Liberty on Thursday night at College Park Center. Dallas (16-8) enters the matchup riding a four-game winning streak, including a 96-91 victory over Chicago on Sunday. The Wings hold a 2-0 record against New York this season, winning 88-77 on July 7 and 91-76 on May 24. New York (13-11) has lost two straight, falling 93-91 at Toronto on Sunday and 90-85 at Minnesota on July 11. The Liberty have dropped four of their last five games and are looking to snap a two-game skid. Players to watch New York guard Sabrina Ionescu scored 28 points with four rebounds and eight assists in Sunday’s loss at Toronto. She has averaged 25.3 points over her last three games but struggled in the July 7 meeting against Dallas, finishing with 14 points on 5-of-15 shooting in 33 minutes. Dallas guard Paige Bueckers has been on a tear, averaging 28 points and 8.5 assists over her last two games. She posted 34 points, six rebounds and six assists in Friday’s 108-95 win at Toronto, then followed with 22 points, six rebounds and 11 assists against Chicago on Sunday. Bueckers recorded 15 points, seven rebounds and six assists in the July 7 win over New York. Outlook The Wings have won 10 of their last 12 games and sit atop the standings with a .667 winning percentage. Dallas has been particularly strong offensively, scoring 100 or more points in three of its last four games. New York has struggled defensively, allowing 90 or more points in six of its last eight contests. The Liberty are 5-8 on the road this season. The Interstat game simulator projects a 95-84 Dallas victory. The Wings are installed as 1.5-point favorites, with the over/under set at 175.5. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. CT.
