ARLINGTON, Texas (Interstat) — The Dallas Wings host the Chicago Sky on Sunday at College Park Center in a WNBA matchup that will decide the season series between the two teams. Dallas leads the series 2-0 after a 93-92 home victory on June 20 and a 99-89 win in Chicago on May 20. Dallas (14-8) enters the game on a three-game winning streak, most recently defeating the New York Liberty 88-77 on Tuesday. Forward Jessica Shepard posted her second triple-double of the season in that victory, finishing with 22 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists. Shepard has been dominant over her past two games, averaging 18 points and 13.5 rebounds. In the June 20 win against Chicago, she scored 21 points with eight rebounds and three assists. Chicago (7-14) has lost four of its past five games but is coming off a 77-66 win at Phoenix on Tuesday. Guard Natasha Cloud is a key playmaker for the Sky. She played 32 minutes against the Mercury, scoring 11 points with four rebounds and six assists. In the June 20 loss at Dallas, Cloud logged 25 minutes and posted 10 points, six rebounds and six assists. Over her past seven games, Cloud has averaged 8.3 points and 4.6 assists. The Sky have struggled on the road this season, with several close losses. Chicago’s last three defeats have come by a combined 10 points, including a 93-92 loss at Dallas on June 20 and a 96-95 loss at New York on June 17. Dallas has been led by a balanced scoring attack. Forward Awak Kuier recorded 10 points and 12 rebounds in the win over New York, and guard Paige Bueckers added 15 points, seven rebounds and six assists. According to Interstat’s game simulator, the projected final score is Dallas 95, Chicago 85. Following Sunday’s game, the Sky return home to host Seattle on July 15. The Wings host New York on July 16.
