WNBA: Sky at Sparks LOS ANGELES (Interstat) — The Chicago Sky visit the Los Angeles Sparks on Friday at Crypto.com Arena in a matchup of teams jockeying for position near the bottom of the WNBA standings. Chicago (7-14) enters on a high note after a 77-66 road win over Phoenix on Tuesday, snapping a three-game losing streak. Los Angeles (8-11) returns home looking to rebound after a 82-64 loss to Seattle on Monday, its fourth defeat in five games. Sparks forward Nneka Ogwumike remains a focal point for Los Angeles. In her most recent outing against Seattle, Ogwumike posted 14 points and 11 rebounds for her fifth double-double of the season. Over her past seven games, the veteran forward has averaged 15.7 points and 8.7 rebounds, including a 24-point, six-rebound performance in a 98-97 win over New York on June 21. Ogwumike also recorded 15 points and 15 rebounds in a 111-102 overtime victory against Phoenix on June 13. Sky guard Natasha Cloud has been a steady contributor for Chicago. Cloud played 32 minutes in the win over Phoenix, scoring 11 points with four rebounds and six assists. Over her previous eight games, Cloud has averaged 8.5 points and 4.9 assists while playing at least 21 minutes in all but one contest. Her season high in assists came during a 10-point, six-assist outing in a 92-93 loss to Dallas on June 20. Chicago will also rely on center Kamilla Cardoso, who had nine points and four blocks in the win over Phoenix. Forward Azura Stevens added nine points and 10 rebounds in that game. The Sparks have struggled offensively during their recent skid, averaging just 73.8 points over their past four games. Los Angeles shot 38% from the field in the loss to Seattle. The Sky have shown offensive firepower in spurts, scoring 124 points against Portland on June 26, but have also been held to 63 points in a loss to Connecticut four days earlier.
