NEW YORK (Interstat) — The New York Liberty host the Dallas Wings on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Barclays Center in Brooklyn in a pivotal WNBA matchup between two teams tied for the league’s fourth-best record at 13-8. The game carries added weight as both clubs jockey for playoff positioning midway through the season. Dallas enters on a two-game winning streak, most recently defeating Toronto 89-76 on Sunday. New York also comes off a victory, beating Minnesota 99-86 on Friday. The Wings won the most recent head-to-head meeting, a 91-76 decision at Barclays Center on May 24. That result snapped a two-game losing streak for Dallas against New York. Wings forward Jessica Shepard has been a force on the glass. In her past 10 games, Shepard has recorded double-digit rebounds in eight contests, including a 16-rebound performance against Minnesota on June 28 and 15 rebounds in the win over Toronto. She is averaging 15.2 points and 11.3 rebounds over that stretch. Shepard also contributed 22 points and 14 rebounds in a loss to Las Vegas on June 25. Liberty forward Breanna Stewart remains one of the league’s most dynamic scorers. She exploded for 36 points on 7-of-12 shooting from 3-point range in the win over Minnesota, adding seven rebounds and two blocks. Stewart has scored at least 14 points in every game this season and posted a 28-point, nine-rebound effort against Connecticut on June 8. Jonquel Jones and Sabrina Ionescu provide additional firepower for New York. Jones recorded 14 points and 15 rebounds against Minnesota, while Ionescu added 17 points, six assists and two blocks. Dallas counters with guard Paige Bueckers, who scored 22 points and dished seven assists in the win over Toronto, and forward Awak Kuier, who contributed 10 points and six rebounds. Interstat’s game simulator projects a 93-81 Liberty victory. The teams will meet again July 16 in Dallas.
