PHOENIX (Interstat) — The Las Vegas Aces and Golden State Valkyries meet Sunday at Mortgage Matchup Center in a matchup of two of the WNBA’s top teams. Las Vegas enters with an 11-4 record, while Golden State is 10-5. The Aces have won both previous meetings this season: 84-79 on June 6 and 91-81 on May 31. The Aces are led by center A’ja Wilson, who has averaged 28.8 points and 12.0 rebounds over her last five games. She posted 33 points, 10 rebounds and three assists in a 86-76 win over Phoenix on June 17. Wilson also had 28 points and 14 rebounds in the June 6 victory over Golden State. Golden State counters with forward Gabby Williams, who has scored 20 or more points in three of her last four games. She had 27 points, six rebounds and one assist in the June 6 loss to Las Vegas, and 25 points and four rebounds in a 91-80 win over Dallas on June 17. The Valkyries are coming off a 91-80 home win over Dallas on Wednesday, while the Aces beat Phoenix 86-76 on Wednesday. Las Vegas also suffered a 96-66 loss to Dallas on June 15.
