PHOENIX (Interstat) — The Las Vegas Aces host the Seattle Storm on Monday night at Mortgage Matchup Center, a WNBA contest pitting a team with championship aspirations against a club searching for answers early in the season. The Aces (7-3) bring a balanced attack to the floor, anchored by two-time MVP A’ja Wilson. The star center has been dominant in her past three games, averaging 27 points and 14.7 rebounds, including a 28-point, 14-rebound performance in Saturday’s 84-79 win over Golden State. Wilson has recorded double-doubles in four of her past five outings and is coming off a 45-point eruption against Connecticut on May 15. Seattle (3-9) has dropped five straight and eight of its past nine. The Storm fell 88-68 at Minnesota on Saturday, their fourth consecutive loss by double digits. Point guard Chelsea Gray continues to orchestrate the offense, averaging 10.5 assists over her past three contests. Seattle has struggled offensively, failing to reach 70 points in four of its past six games. The Storm are 0-5 on the road this season. Las Vegas, meanwhile, is 4-1 at home.
