WNBA: Dream at Fever INDIANAPOLIS (Interstat) — The Atlanta Dream visit the Indiana Fever on Thursday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in a matchup of two teams heading in opposite directions. The Dream (5-2 overall) have won four of their past five games, while the Fever (4-4) have dropped three of their last four. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. EDT. Atlanta enters riding an 86-66 victory over the Portland Fire on May 29, with three players scoring in double figures. Forward Angel Reese posted 18 points and 12 rebounds for her fourth double-double in the past five games. Naz Hillmon added 14 points and seven rebounds, and guard Rhyne Howard contributed 14 points and four assists. Reese has been a consistent force in the paint, averaging 13.1 points and 11.0 rebounds over the Dream’s last seven contests, with five double-doubles during that span. She logged a season-high 16 rebounds in a 77-72 win at Dallas on May 12. The Fever are coming off an 84-100 loss at Portland on May 30, despite 18 points and seven rebounds from center Aliyah Boston. Guard Sophie Cunningham added 15 points and four assists, and forward Makayla Timpson had 11 points and six rebounds. Boston has been productive but inconsistent, with a 24-point, eight-rebound game against Portland on May 20, but she has been held to single-digit scoring twice in the past five games. She recorded 20 points and 16 rebounds in a 90-82 win over Golden State on May 22. Interstat’s game simulator projects a 92-86 victory for Indiana. Both teams will face each other twice more this month, with Atlanta hosting Indiana on June 20. The Dream’s next game is Saturday against Washington at home. The Fever travel to New York on Saturday.
