PHILADELPHIA (Interstat) — The New York Knicks can sweep their way into the NBA’s second round when they face the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 4 of their playoff series at 7 p.m. Sunday at Xfinity Mobile Arena. New York (61-32) enters with a commanding 3-0 series lead after winning the first three games by an average margin of 19.7 points. The Knicks won 108-94 on Friday behind 33 points, five rebounds and nine assists from point guard Jalen Brunson. He averaged 31.3 points, 2.3 rebounds and 6.0 assists in the three victories. Philadelphia (50-43) faces elimination on its home floor. The 76ers lost Game 3 despite 22 points and eight rebounds from shooting guard Kelly Oubre Jr., who also averaged 17.7 points and 6.0 rebounds in the series. Center Joel Embiid struggled with foul trouble Friday, finishing with 18 points and six rebounds in 35 minutes. The 76ers have lost five straight to New York this season, including a 138-89 blowout on Feb. 11. Philadelphia’s last win against the Knicks came on Jan. 3. Brunson has been the catalyst for New York’s playoff run. In nine postseason games, the 6-foot-2 guard averaged 28.0 points and 7.0 assists while shooting 48.4 percent from the field. He scored 39 points in a Game 5 first-round win over Atlanta on April 28. Oubre has been Philadelphia’s most consistent perimeter threat. He scored 22 points on 8-of-17 shooting in Game 3 and added 19 points in Game 2. The 6-7 swingman averaged 13.2 points in his last five playoff games. Interstat’s game simulator projects a 119-115 Philadelphia win. The Knicks opened as 1-point favorites, according to BetMGM Sportsbook. The over/under is 212.5 total points. Game 5, if necessary, would be Tuesday at Madison Square Garden.
