ORLANDO, Fla. (Interstat) — The Detroit Pistons will try to even their Eastern Conference playoff series against the Orlando Magic on Monday night, when the teams meet for Game 4 at Kia Center. Detroit, the seed with a 61-24 record, trails the series 2-1 after a 113-105 loss Saturday. The Pistons, installed as 3-point favorites, look to bounce back behind guard Ausar Thompson, who has been a defensive catalyst. In the loss Saturday, Thompson logged 37 minutes, scoring 17 points with eight rebounds and a playoff career-high five blocks over 37 minutes. Over his past 10 games, he has averaged 9.9 points and 6.1 rebounds. Orlando, the seed at 48-39, seeks to take a commanding 3-1 series lead. Forward Paolo Banchero has been the Magic’s engine, posting 25 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists in Saturday’s win. He has averaged 23.8 points over his past four games and tallied a triple-double April 12 against Boston. The teams split two games in Detroit in this series. The Pistons won Game 2 98-83 on April 22, while the Magic won Game 1 112-101 on April 19. Interstat’s game simulator projects a 117-113 Orlando victory. The over/under is 212.5 points.
