MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (Interstat) — Braxton Ashcraft threw a three-hitter and the Pittsburgh Pirates routed the Miami Marlins 13-1 on Thursday, Aug. 13, 2026, at loanDepot Park. Ashcraft allowed one earned run and struck out 10 in a complete game for his 12th win. Rafael Flores Jr. hit two home runs and drove in six, including a three-run shot in the eighth and another in the ninth. Jared Triolo homered and finished 3 for 4 with three RBIs. Jacob Gonzalez added a two-run homer in the ninth, and Jake Mangum had three hits and an RBI. Pittsburgh broke open a scoreless game with two runs in the fifth, added three in the sixth and three in the eighth, then scored five in the ninth and finished with 16 hits. Miami scored its only run on Owen Caissie’s leadoff homer in the bottom of the ninth. The Marlins grounded into three double plays. Tyler Phillips took the loss, allowing four earned runs in 5 1/3 innings. Pittsburgh improved to 61-65; Miami fell to 62-60. Attendance was 8,223 and the game lasted 2:27.
