SAN DIEGO (Interstat) — Right-hander Walker Buehler (6-5) takes the mound Saturday as the San Francisco Giants face the San Diego Padres at PETCO Park, with cloudy skies and 78 degrees expected for first pitch. The Giants (47-63) lost the series opener 7-0 on Friday, managing one hit. San Diego (56-54) has won five of six and is 7-3 in its last 10 games. The Giants are 4-6 in their last 10. San Francisco’s player to watch is Adrian Houser. The right-hander started Friday and allowed one earned run in 4 2/3 innings. He has surrendered one earned run over his past two outings, covering 8 2/3 innings. San Diego’s player to watch is Germán Márquez. He has won five consecutive starts, including Friday, when he threw five scoreless innings of one-hit ball and struck out two.
