WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Interstat) — The Detroit Tigers and Athletics continue their weekend series Saturday at Sutter Health Park, with the Tigers looking to bounce back from a 12-inning loss. Detroit enters the game with a 51-58 record. In their most recent outing Wednesday at home, the Tigers fell 10-9 to the Baltimore Orioles. Spencer Torkelson went 2 for 5 with a home run and two RBIs, and Matt Vierling went 2 for 2. Detroit split its last six games, alternating wins and losses in its previous two against Kansas City and Baltimore. Framber Valdez (5-7) is the scheduled starter for Detroit. He will be opposed by Jack Perkins (2-6) for the Athletics. The game is set for Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento, California. One pitcher to watch for Detroit is Tarik Skubal.
