BASEBALL PREVIEW: Blue Jays at Red Sox BOSTON (Interstat) — The Toronto Blue Jays and Boston Red Sox conclude their four-game series Sunday afternoon at Fenway Park. First pitch is set for 1:35 p.m. under clear skies and a temperature of 79 degrees. The Blue Jays (48-57) took the opener of the series 6-0 on Saturday behind a complete-game shutout by Dylan Cease, who struck out 12 and allowed one hit. The Red Sox (53-50) evened the series Friday with a 6-4 victory. Sunday’s winner will claim the series. Toronto has not officially named a starter. Right-hander Kevin Gausman (4-9, 4.52 ERA) and left-hander Ranger Suarez (4-3, 3.33 ERA) are listed as probable. Gausman has lost his last three decisions. The Blue Jays have struggled offensively of late, scoring two runs or fewer in five of their last seven games. George Springer had two hits, including a home run, in Saturday’s win. Ernie Clement went 3-for-4 with an RBI. The Red Sox offense has been inconsistent, scoring six runs Friday but being shut out Saturday. Andruw Monasterio had a hit in the loss.
