NEW YORK (Interstat) — The Los Angeles Dodgers will attempt to complete a three-game sweep of the New York Mets on Sunday afternoon at Citi Field, where they have dominated throughout the season and tightened their grip on the National League’s best record. First pitch is set for under clear skies and 79 degrees. The Dodgers (66-38) have the best record in the NL and have won six of their last seven games. The Mets (43-61) are in last place in the NL East and have lost four of their last five. Right-hander Emmet Sheehan (4-7) is the scheduled starter for Los Angeles. Sheehan has struggled to find consistency this season but will benefit from facing a Mets lineup that has been held to just two runs in the first two games of the series. The Mets have not formally announced a starter but are expected to use a bullpen game after deploying their primary starters in the first two matchups.
