The Tigers have won four of the seven head-to-head games this season, including a 6-3 win May 10 in Kansas City. Detroit is a -1.5 favorite, according to Interstat. The over/under is 7.5 runs. Interstat’s game simulator projects a 6-5 Tigers victory. Salvador Perez drove in two runs with a home run in Wednesday’s win for Kansas City. Steven Cruz earned the save with a scoreless inning. For Detroit, Hao-Yu Lee hit a home run and drove in three runs Wednesday, and Spencer Torkelson added a home run. The teams continue the four-game series Saturday and Sunday before the Royals travel to Minnesota and the Tigers host Baltimore.
