SEATTLE (Interstat) β The San Francisco Giants visit the Seattle Mariners on Saturday at T-Mobile Park, with both teams looking to gain ground in their respective division races after a scoreless series opener Friday. San Francisco (41-55) sends right-hander Logan Webb (5-7) to the mound against Seattle right-hander Bryan Woo (7-6). First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. PDT. Webb enters with a 3.88 ERA this season but has struggled recently, allowing four earned runs or more in three of his past five starts. Woo, meanwhile, has been a steady presence for the Mariners (48-49), posting a 3.41 ERA and striking out 93 batters in 97 innings. The Giants are coming off a 3-1 win Sunday over Colorado, a game in which right-hander Trevor McDonald tossed seven innings, allowing three hits and one earned run while striking out four. McDonald, who will be available out of the bullpen Saturday, has been inconsistent this season. He followed that gem with a rough outing July 7 against Toronto, surrendering eight earned runs in 2 1/3 innings pitched, but rebounded July 1 at Arizona with six shutout innings of one-hit ball. For Seattle, shortstop J.P. Crawford is a player to watch. Crawford went 3-for-4 with three RBIs in the Marinersβ 8-2 win Sunday at Tampa Bay, snapping a brief skid in which he went 0-for-4 twice in the previous three games. Seattle enters the game having lost four of its past five, while San Francisco has won three of its past four. The Interstat game simulator projects a 4-3 Giants victory. Seattle is a -1.5 favorite on the run line, with the over/under set at 7 runs. Following the series, San Francisco travels to Kansas City for three games before returning home to host the Los Angeles Angels. Seattle hosts Cincinnati for three games before starting a four-game series at Texas.
