DENVER (Interstat) — The San Francisco Giants and Colorado Rockies will meet Sunday evening at Coors Field for the second game of a three-game series under cloudy skies with a forecast temperature of 90 degrees. First pitch is set for 6:10 p.m. local time. The Giants enter with a 36-51 record, while the Rockies are 36-53, both struggling to find consistency this season. San Francisco third baseman Rafael Devers will look to build on his recent production. In Friday’s series opener, a 15-3 loss, Devers went 2 for 4 with a home run and an RBI. Over his last 10 games, Devers has homered four times and driven in nine runs, including a two-homer, four-RBI performance June 27 against Atlanta. He is hitting .333 (6 for 18) with two homers and four RBIs over his past four games. Colorado left fielder Jake McCarthy has been a driving force for the Rockies. He was the standout Friday, going 4 for 5 with two home runs and six RBIs. Over his last 10 games, McCarthy is batting .360 (9 for 25) with three homers and 13 RBIs. He has recorded at least two hits in four of his past six contests. The Rockies defeated the Giants 15-3 on Friday, evening the season series at one win apiece. Colorado also won the previous matchup 8-6 on May 29 and 8-3 on May 30, while San Francisco won 19-6 on May 31. A simulation from Interstat’s game simulator projects a 6-5 Giants victory. Both teams have rest days after this series. The Giants return home to host Toronto for three games starting Monday, then welcome Colorado for four games from July 9-12. The Rockies travel to Los Angeles for three games beginning Monday, before heading to San Francisco for that four-game set.
