Rays right-hander Drew Rasmussen is a key figure for Tampa Bay. He took the loss Monday despite a quality start: two earned runs on four hits over six innings with five strikeouts. In his previous four starts, Rasmussen posted a 1.29 ERA over 25 innings with 34 strikeouts, including a pair of seven-inning, one-run outings at the Los Angeles Dodgers (June 16) and against Boston (June 10), and a seven-inning shutout performance at Miami (June 5).
