Preview: Reds at Yankees NEW YORK (Interstat) — The New York Yankees host the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday evening at Yankee Stadium II, with first pitch set for 6:05 p.m. EDT under cloudy skies and a temperature of 81 degrees. Right-hander Chase Burns (8-1, 3.12 ERA) takes the mound for Cincinnati, while New York counters with right-hander Gerrit Cole (1-1, 4.50 ERA). The Yankees (46-29) lead the American League East by 4½ games. The Reds (36-39) are fourth in the National League Central. New York is a -1.5 run-line favorite, and the over/under is 7.5. New York’s lineup is led by shortstop Anthony Volpe (.298, 14 HR, 45 RBI) and outfielder Juan Soto (.312, 19 HR, 52 RBI). The Yankees have won 11 of their last 14 games at home. Following Sunday’s contest, the Reds travel to Milwaukee for a three-game series against the Brewers, while the Yankees head to Detroit for a three-game set with the Tigers.
