LOS ANGELES (Interstat) — The San Francisco Giants go for a three-game sweep of the Los Angeles Dodgers on Thursday at Dodger Stadium. San Francisco (18-24) has taken the first two games of this series by a combined 15-5 margin, including a 6-2 victory Tuesday. The Giants have won five of their past seven meetings with the Dodgers dating to April. First pitch is set for 7:10 p.m. PDT. Right-hander Landen Roupp (5-3) is scheduled to start for San Francisco. Emmet Sheehan (2-1) also is listed as a probable pitcher for the Giants in what could be a tandem or bullpen day for manager Bob Melvin. The Dodgers (24-18) counter with right-hander Yoshinobu Yamamoto. He took the loss in Tuesday’s series opener, allowing five earned runs on six hits over 6 1/3 innings with eight strikeouts. Players to watch Giants right-hander Adrian Houser has been sharp in recent outings, notably earning a win against these same Dodgers on Tuesday. In that start, he allowed two earned runs on three hits over 5 2/3 innings with four strikeouts. Houser also tossed six innings of one-run ball against San Diego on May 6. Dodgers designated hitter Shohei Ohtani homered and drove in a run in Tuesday’s loss. He is 2 for 8 with a home run in the series. Series momentum San Francisco has dominated the season series, winning five of the six meetings. The Giants swept a three-game set in San Francisco from April 21-23, outscoring the Dodgers 6-1 in those games. Gambling line The Dodgers are listed as a minus-1.5 favorite. The over/under is set at 8.5 runs. Interstat’s game simulator projects a 4-3 Dodgers victory. Up next San Francisco travels to Oakland for a three-game series beginning Friday.
