HOUSTON (Interstat) — The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Houston Astros will meet Wednesday evening at Daikin Park for the final game of their three-game series. First pitch is scheduled for 6:40 p.m. CDT. The forecast calls for clouds and 82 degrees. The Dodgers (22-13) enter with the best record in the National League. The Astros (14-22) are last in the American League West. Los Angeles will send right-hander Tyler Glasnow (3-0) to the mound. He has yet to lose a decision this season. Right-hander Lance McCullers Jr. (2-2) is also listed as a probable pitcher, creating uncertainty about which starter will take the ball for the Dodgers. Houston’s probable pitcher had not been announced as of Tuesday. The Dodgers won Monday’s series opener 8-3. Right-hander Yoshinobu Yamamoto earned the win, throwing six innings, allowing five hits and three earned runs while striking out eight. Outfielder Kyle Tucker went 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBIs. Second baseman Alex Freeland went 3-for-4 with a homer and an RBI. Tuesday’s game ended scoreless, 0-0, with no further details available. Right-hander Kai-Wei Teng has been a reliable arm out of the Houston bullpen. In his most recent appearance Monday, he pitched two scoreless innings, allowing one hit and striking out two. Over his last five outings, Teng has allowed only one earned run across eight innings. The Dodgers are 6-4 in their last 10 games. The Astros have lost four of their last five. A simulation by Interstat’s game simulator projects a 5-4 Dodgers victory. The game will be the last between the two teams this season. The Dodgers open a three-game home series against Atlanta on Friday. The Astros travel to Cincinnati for a three-game set beginning Friday.
