PREVIEW: Guardians at Royals KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Interstat) — The Cleveland Guardians and Kansas City Royals continue their four-game series Wednesday night at Kauffman Stadium, with the Royals looking to build on a two-game winning streak against the division rival. Cleveland (18-18) will send left-hander Joey Cantillo (1-1) to the mound. The Royals (16-19) counter with lefty Cole Ragans (1-4), who is seeking his second win of the season. Kansas City has taken the first two games of the series, winning 6-2 on Monday and 5-3 on Tuesday. Wacha has a 4.18 ERA this season and is coming off a complete-game shutout against the Chicago White Sox on April 11. Recent trends Cleveland has lost three of its last four games, including a 7-1 defeat at Oakland on Sunday. The Guardians are 8-10 on the road. Kansas City has won four of its last five after taking two of three at Seattle to close April. The Royals are 9-8 at home. Projection Interstat’s game simulator projects a 7-4 Royals victory. The ELO system gives Kansas City a 50.3% chance to win. The Royals are listed as -1.5 favorites, with an over/under of 8 runs. Up next The series concludes Thursday afternoon.
