AP Sports Preview: Red Sox at Tigers DETROIT (Interstat) — The Boston Red Sox will try to build on a series-opening victory when they face the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday night at Comerica Park. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. EDT. The forecast calls for rain with a temperature of 76 degrees. Right-hander Brayan Bello (1-4, 4.91 ERA) is scheduled to start for Boston. He will be opposed by a Tigers starter yet to be announced. Bello is seeking his first win since April 11 after allowing four earned runs in 4 1/3 innings in a loss to the New York Yankees on April 22. The Red Sox (13-21) enter the game last in the American League East. They are coming off a 3-1, 10-inning loss Sunday to the Houston Astros, in which left-hander Ranger Suarez allowed three hits and struck out three over four scoreless innings. Hurter has not allowed an earned run in his last four outings (6 1/3 innings), striking out five batters while yielding just two hits. Detroit has won four of its last five games and is 8-4 at Comerica Park this season. These teams split a four-game series in Boston from April 17-20, with the Red Sox winning the opener 1-0 before the Tigers took the next two. Boston won the finale 8-6.
