ST. LOUIS (Interstat) — The Los Angeles Dodgers and St. Louis Cardinals continue their weekend series Saturday afternoon at Busch Stadium III, with first pitch set for 4:15 p.m. EDT under cloudy skies and a temperature of 59 degrees. The Dodgers enter the game with a 20-11 record, tops in the National League West, while the Cardinals sit at 18-13, holding a slim lead in the NL Central. Los Angeles dropped Friday’s series opener 4-1 to even the three-game set after St. Louis won its fourth consecutive game Thursday at Pittsburgh. Right-hander Roki Sasaki (1-2, 4.15 ERA) will start for the Dodgers. Sasaki has struggled with run support in his first major league season, allowing three earned runs or fewer in four of his five starts but receiving two or fewer runs of offense in three of them. Opposite him, Cardinals right-hander Michael McGreevy (1-2, 3.86 ERA) makes his sixth start of the season. McGreevy is coming off a no-decision against Pittsburgh on April 27, when he allowed two runs over 5 1/3 innings. A player to watch for Los Angeles is right-hander Tyler Glasnow, who will be available out of the bullpen after his last start Wednesday against Miami. Glasnow took a hard-luck loss despite striking out nine over 5 2/3 innings and allowing two earned runs. In his previous outing April 23 at San Francisco, he threw eight scoreless innings with nine strikeouts in a 3-0 win. For the season, Glasnow has a 1.89 ERA and 43 strikeouts over 33 1/3 innings. For St. Louis, right fielder Jordan Walker has been a key contributor during the Cardinals’ winning streak. Walker drove in three runs Thursday at Pittsburgh, going 2 for 5 with a home run and three RBIs in a 10-5 win. Over his last seven games, he has collected six RBIs and is hitting .300 in that span. The Interstat game simulator projects a 6-5 Dodgers victory. Los Angeles is a -1.5 run favorite with an over/under of 9 runs. The series concludes Sunday afternoon before the Dodgers travel to Houston for a three-game set beginning Monday, and the Cardinals host Milwaukee for a three-game series starting Monday.
