OKLAHOMA CITY (Interstat) — The San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder will meet Saturday in a winner-take-all Game 7 of their Western Conference playoff series at Paycom Center. The top-seeded Thunder (75-21) host the second-seeded Spurs (73-27) at 8 p.m. EDT after San Antonio forced the deciding game with a 118-91 victory Thursday night in Texas. The winner advances to the Western Conference finals. The series has followed a distinct home-court pattern. The Thunder won Games 2, 4 and 5 in Oklahoma City, while the Spurs took Games 1, 3 and 6 at home. San Antonio snapped a two-game skid with its dominant Game 6 performance, holding the Thunder to 91 points — Oklahoma City’s lowest output of the series. Oklahoma City countered with a 127-114 win in Game 5 on May 26 behind a balanced attack. The Thunder, who own the league’s best regular-season record, have been formidable at home. In the series, the home team has won every game. San Antonio’s victory Thursday featured strong performances from forward Victor Wembanyama and guards Stephon Castle and Dylan Harper, each of whom led the scoring for the Spurs. The Thunder, meanwhile, countered in their previous home game with production from center Chet Holmgren and guards Jared McCain and Cason Wallace. Saturday marks the first career Game 7 for several key players on both rosters. The Thunder have been tested in close games this postseason, while the Spurs have shown resilience, rallying from a 3-2 series deficit. The all-time playoff series is now tied 3-3, with each team winning all games on its home floor. According to Interstat’s game simulator, the Thunder are projected to win 121-104. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. Saturday.
