AP Sports Preview MILWAUKEE (Interstat) — The Miami Marlins visit the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday evening at American Family Field, with first pitch scheduled for 7:10 p.m. CDT. The forecast calls for 91-degree heat with rain, though the retractable roof will keep conditions controlled. Miami (52-45) will send right-hander Max Meyer (9-1, 3.12 ERA) to the mound. He has not allowed an earned run in seven of his past eight outings. Milwaukee right-hander Bryse Wilson has been effective in limited duty. In his past two appearances, Wilson has allowed two hits and no runs over 4 innings with four strikeouts. He worked three scoreless innings against Pittsburgh on July 12. Recent results Miami dropped three straight to Cleveland entering the series, scoring two runs total in the sweep. The Marlins have lost five of their past seven. Milwaukee lost three of four at Pittsburgh over the weekend, including a 14-5 defeat Sunday. Brice Turang homered in that game, and Wilson contributed three scoreless innings. Betting line Interstat’s game simulator projects a 5-4 Miami victory. Milwaukee is a -1.5 run-line favorite, with the over/under set at 8 total runs. Up next The teams play a doubleheader Sunday. Miami then visits Houston for three games, while Milwaukee hosts the New York Mets for a four-game set beginning Monday.
