BASEBALL PREVIEW: Braves at Giants SAN FRANCISCO (Interstat) — The Atlanta Braves and San Francisco Giants will continue their four-game series Saturday at Oracle Park. First pitch is set for 7:15 p.m. EDT. Atlanta (48-31) holds the best record in the National League but has lost four straight games, including a 2-5 defeat Wednesday at San Diego. The Braves were held scoreless in Friday’s series opener, a 0-0 deadlock with the Giants. San Francisco (33-47) snapped a three-game skid with a 2-1 win over Oakland on Wednesday, then took the series finale 3-1 on Thursday. The Giants have won three of their last four. Catcher Joey Bart is a player to watch for Atlanta. In his last game Wednesday, Bart went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs. He is hitting .278 with 12 homers this season. Bart spent parts of four seasons in San Francisco’s organization before being traded to Atlanta in 2024. Right-hander Landen Roupp is expected to start for the Giants. In his last outing Thursday against Oakland, Roupp allowed two earned runs over six innings, striking out six. He has a 5.32 ERA over 15 appearances this season. The Giants have won two of three meetings this season, including a 7-5 victory June 17 and a 7-2 win June 16, both in Atlanta. Atlanta won the season series in 2025, taking four of seven. The Braves are 24-16 on the road. The Giants are 19-21 at home. Atlanta ranks second in the NL in runs scored, averaging 5.2 per game. San Francisco ranks 13th, averaging 4.1. Interstat’s game simulator projects a 5-3 Giants victory. San Francisco is a -1.5 run-line favorite. The over/under is 7 runs. The Braves will send left-hander Martín Pérez to the mound Saturday. Pérez allowed three earned runs over four innings in a loss to San Diego on Wednesday. After this series, Atlanta travels home to host St. Louis for four games starting Tuesday. San Francisco heads to Arizona for a three-game set beginning Monday.
