BASEBALL PREVIEW: Orioles at Angels ANAHEIM, Calif. (Interstat) — The Baltimore Orioles and Los Angeles Angels open a two-game series Tuesday night at Angel Stadium, with both teams seeking to climb out of last place in their respective divisions. Baltimore (37-42) sends right-hander Shane Baz (4-7, 4.50 ERA) to the mound. Baz has struggled with consistency this season, allowing five earned runs over 5 1/3 innings in his last start. The Orioles, who have lost four of their last six, are coming off a 12-1 rout of the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday. The Angels (32-47) have won two straight after taking three of four from the Athletics. Their starter has not been announced. Players to watch Orioles outfielder Colton Cowser enters on a tear. In Sunday’s win, he went 3 for 5 with a home run and four RBIs. Over his last 10 games, Cowser has hit .308 with two homers and six RBIs. Angels third baseman Denzer Guzman has also been productive, homering in three consecutive games entering Tuesday. In Sunday’s 9-7 win at Oakland, he went 2 for 3 with a homer and three RBIs. Over his last five contests, Guzman has driven in seven runs. Head-to-head The teams played to a scoreless tie Monday in a game suspended due to rain. It will be resumed before Tuesday’s scheduled game, meaning the Orioles and Angels will play a potential doubleheader, weather permitting. Projection Interstat’s game simulator projects a 5-4 Angels victory. Up next The series concludes Wednesday. Baltimore returns home Friday to host Washington. Los Angeles opens a three-game set Friday against Oakland.
