PREVIEW: Rockies at Cubs CHICAGO (Interstat) — The Chicago Cubs look to build on a narrow victory when they host the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 7:05 p.m. CT at Wrigley Field. The Cubs (37-35) enter with a 1-0 victory in Monday’s series opener, improving to 3-1 against the Rockies this season. Colorado (27-45) has lost four of its last five, though the Rockies erupted for a 23-9 win at on Sunday. Right-hander Ryan Feltner (2-2) is scheduled to start for Colorado, though the club also listed right-hander Edward Cabrera (4-3) as a probable pitcher. Feltner will look to rebound after allowing five runs in four innings in a loss to Milwaukee on June 7. The Cubs have not announced a starter. Willi Castro is a player to watch for Colorado. The infielder went 4-for-6 with two home runs and seven RBIs in Sunday’s blowout win, raising his average in that span. Over his last 10 games, Castro is hitting .300 with three homers and 10 RBIs, though he is 2-for-9 in the four meetings with Chicago this season. For the Cubs, left-handed reliever Ryan Rolison has been effective out of the bullpen. Over his last 10 appearances covering 12 2/3 innings, Rolison has not allowed an earned run, striking out 12 while scattering six hits. He threw 1 1/3 scoreless innings in Thursday’s 9-3 win at Colorado and worked 1 1/3 hitless frames Sunday at San Francisco. The Cubs took three of four in Denver earlier this month, outscoring the Rockies 17-15. The lone Colorado win came June 10, a 3-2 decision. Chicago has won five of its last seven. The Cubs‘ pitching staff has posted a 2.55 ERA over that stretch. Colorado’s offense produced 23 runs Sunday — its highest total this season — but the Rockies have allowed at least five runs in eight of their last 10 games. The Interstat game simulator projects a 5-3 Cubs victory. Following Tuesday’s contest, the teams conclude the series Wednesday before Chicago hosts Toronto for a three-game set starting Friday. Colorado returns home to face Pittsburgh.
