WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Interstat) — The Milwaukee Brewers, owners of the best record in the National League, visit the Athletics on Monday night for the opener of a three-game series at Sutter Health Park. Kyle Harrison (7-1) or Jeffrey Springs (3-6) is scheduled to start for Milwaukee after the team listed two probable pitchers. The Brewers (40-23) enter with a .635 winning percentage and have won four of their last five games. The Athletics (31-34) are third in the AL West but have dropped two of their last three. Milwaukee is a -1.5 run favorite with an over/under of 10.5. Interstat’s game simulator projects a 6-3 Brewers victory. Milwaukee rode a dominant offensive performance Sunday, beating Colorado 12-4. Catcher Gary Sánchez went 2 for 5 with a home run and three RBIs, continuing a productive stretch. Over his last 10 games, Sánchez has three multi-hit performances and has driven in runs in three separate contests. Garrett Mitchell added three hits and two RBIs in that win, while pitcher Shane Drohan threw 6 1/3 innings, allowing three earned runs. The Athletics blanked Houston 5-0 on Sunday behind a strong start from left-hander Gage Jump (1-0). Jump threw 6 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing three hits and striking out three. Over his last two starts, he has pitched 13 1/3 innings with one earned run and eight strikeouts. Designated hitter Brent Rooker went 2 for 3 with a home run and two RBIs, and first baseman Nick Kurtz also homered and drove in two. Monday’s game starts a six-game homestand for the Athletics that continues with three games against Colorado beginning Friday. Milwaukee continues its road trip Tuesday with the second game of this series before returning home to face Philadelphia on Friday.
