Wednesday, June 3, 2026 ATLANTA (Interstat) — The Atlanta Braves, boasting the National League’s best record at 40-20, will host the Toronto Blue Jays (29-31) on Wednesday night at Truist Park. First pitch is scheduled for 7:20 p.m. under cloudy skies with a temperature of 69 degrees. The Braves will send right-hander Spencer Strider to the mound. Strider (5-1) has been dominant, most recently allowing three earned runs over 5 1/3 innings in a win at Miami on May 21. In his last five starts, he has not allowed more than three earned runs and posted a shutout over six innings at Los Angeles on May 9. Toronto has listed two probable pitchers for the contest: left-hander Patrick Corbin (2-1) and right-hander Grant Holmes (3-2). The Blue Jays will need a strong outing from either to cool off a Braves lineup that scored 10 runs at Boston on May 28 and has won eight of its last 10 games. Atlanta’s offense is powered by outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr., who went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs in the Braves’ 4-6 loss at Cincinnati on May 31. Acuña is a consistent threat at the top of the order. For Toronto, outfielder Yohendrick Piñango is a player to watch. Piñango went 2-for-2 with a home run and three RBIs in Toronto’s 5-9 loss at Baltimore on May 31. He has been productive despite the team’s struggles, hitting safely in four of his last six games. The series opened Tuesday night with Atlanta winning 4-3. The Braves have won four of their last six meetings with the Blue Jays. Simulators project a close contest, with Atlanta favored by 1.5 runs. The over/under is set at 9. Following Wednesday’s game, both teams play again Thursday at Truist Park. Toronto then returns home for a six-game homestand against Baltimore and Philadelphia. Atlanta hosts Pittsburgh before traveling to Chicago for a series against the White Sox.
