ANAHEIM, Calif. (Interstat) — The Colorado Rockies and Los Angeles Angels, both sporting identical 23-38 records, meet Wednesday night at Angel Stadium in the finale of a three-game series. First pitch is scheduled for 6:38 p.m. PDT. Colorado (23-38) will start right-hander Michael Lorenzen (2-7), who is coming off a tough-luck loss in his most recent outing, while the Angels (23-38) counter with righty Walbert Ureña (2-4). The Rockies have yet to announce a change to their rotation after Lorenzen was listed as the probable pitcher earlier in the week. Lorenzen has struggled this season, while Ureña has been inconsistent for the Angels. The Rockies took the opener of the series Monday with a 9-8 victory, a game that featured big offensive performances from both clubs. Colorado’s Hunter Goodman went 1-for-5 with a home run and three RBIs in that win. Over his last 10 games, the catcher has three homers and seven RBIs, but he has also recorded four hitless games in that span, including an 0-for-4 effort May 21. For the Angels, outfielder Jose Siri has been a power threat in the middle of the lineup. He homered and drove in four runs Monday, going 1-for-5. Over his last 10 games, Siri has two home runs and six RBIs, though he has also struggled with consistency, striking out in three of his past four starts. Tuesday’s game between the two teams was scoreless through regulation, with no runs crossing the plate before the game ended in extra innings or was suspended, according to available records. The two clubs are mirror images of each other in the standings, each 15 games under .500 and looking to build any momentum as the season approaches the midway point. The game is expected to be a tight one. The Interstat game simulator projects a 5-3 win for the Angels. Los Angeles has been installed as a -1.5 favorite on the run line, and the over/under is set at 9 total runs. Following the series, the Rockies return home to face the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday, kicking off a six-game homestand. The Angels head to Dodger Stadium for a three-game series against the crosstown rival Los Angeles Dodgers, beginning Friday.
