GIANTS AT BREWERS MILWAUKEE (Interstat) — The San Francisco Giants, coming off a 19-6 rout of the Colorado Rockies, open a four-game series Monday night against the National League Central-leading Milwaukee Brewers at American Family Field. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. CDT with a forecast of 62 degrees and cloudy skies. The Giants (23-36) enter as significant underdogs against a Brewers team (35-21) that sits 13 games above .500 and has won three of its last four. Milwaukee took two of three from Houston over the weekend, including a 2-0 shutout Sunday. Right-hander Jacob Misiorowski, a focal point for Milwaukee, threw seven innings of three-hit ball in that win, striking out eight without allowing a run. In his last five starts, Misiorowski has allowed just one earned run across 33 innings (0.27 ERA) with 49 strikeouts. His dominant stretch includes three consecutive outings of at least seven innings with no earned runs. For the Giants, designated hitter Bryce Eldridge has been a bright spot. The rookie went 4-for-6 with a home run and an RBI in Sunday’s blowout win at Colorado. Over his last 10 games, Eldridge has hit .310 (9-for-29) with two RBIs. He will look to carry that momentum against Milwaukee’s ace. Milwaukee has won five of its last six home games and boasts one of the best pitching staffs in the league. The Brewers hold a 2.3-run average margin of victory at home this season. The Interstat game simulator projects a 6-2 Milwaukee victory. The Brewers are listed as -1.5 favorites, with the over/under set at 7.5 runs. San Francisco has struggled on the road, going 10-20 away from Oracle Park this season. Milwaukee is 18-9 at American Family Field. Following Monday’s series opener, the teams continue the four-game set Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The Giants then travel to Chicago for three games against the Cubs, while the Brewers head to Colorado for a three-game series.
