The veteran lefty gave Detroit length in his last outing Sunday at Baltimore, allowing 1 earned run over 6 innings in a 4-3 loss. He has a 4-3 record with a 3.27 ERA and has been the Tigers’ most reliable starter. The Interstat game simulator projects a 3-2 Angels victory. Detroit is a -1.5 favorite on the run line, with the over/under set at 7.5 runs. Following Wednesday’s game, the teams meet again Thursday afternoon to complete the two-game series. The Angels then travel to Tampa Bay for a three-game set, while the Tigers head to Chicago to face the White Sox.
