TUESDAY’S GAME PREVIEW WASHINGTON (Interstat) β€” The Minnesota Twins visit the Washington Nationals on Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. at Nationals Park, with first-place implications in the early-season standings. Right-hander Taj Bradley (3-1, 3.86 ERA) is scheduled to start for Minnesota, while right-hander Cade Cavalli (1-1, 4.50) is set to take the mound for Washington. The forecast calls for 75 degrees and cloudy skies. The Twins (15-20) enter having won two of their last three, including a 4-3 victory Sunday over Toronto. Right-handed reliever Andrew Morris has been a bright spot out of the bullpen, tossing 3 2/3 scoreless innings in that win, allowing two hits with three strikeouts. Over his last six appearances, Morris has a 2.56 ERA and 13 strikeouts in 15 1/3 innings. Washington (16-19) snapped a three-game skid with a 3-2 win Sunday over Milwaukee. Right-hander Zack Littell earned the victory with 3 2/3 innings of one-run ball, striking out one. Littell has been inconsistent this season, carrying a 6.63 ERA over 10 appearances, but he has allowed just one earned run in his last two outings covering 7 1/3 innings. The Nationals are 6-7 at home this season; the Twins are 6-11 on the road. The Interstat game simulator projects a 5-3 victory for Washington, but Minnesota opened as a -1.5 favorite on the run line. The over/under is 8.5. UP NEXT: The clubs continue the three-game series Wednesday and Thursday before Minnesota travels to Cleveland and Washington heads to Miami.
