DENVER (Interstat) -- The Atlanta Braves look to bounce back from a series-opening loss Saturday when they face the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field at 7:10 p.m. EDT. Left-hander Chris Sale (5-1) will start for the Braves, who fell 6-1 to the Rockies on Friday. Sale enters with a 2.06 ERA and has allowed two earned runs or fewer in four of his six starts this season. Right-hander Michael Lorenzen (2-3) will start for Colorado, which has won seven of its last 11 games after a 4-6 start to the season. Lorenzen has a 5.26 ERA in six appearances, including five starts. Atlanta (22-10) holds the best record in the National League and is 6-4 in its last 10 games. The Braves are 11-5 away from Truist Park. Colorado (14-18) sits in fourth place in the NL West. The Rockies are 8-7 at home this season. Weather at game time is expected to be 59 degrees with cloudy skies. The forecast calls for light winds blowing in from left-center field. Players to watch Bryce Elder: The Braves reliever has been Atlanta’s most consistent arm out of the bullpen. Across six appearances this season, Elder has a 2.10 ERA with 28 strikeouts in 30 innings. He did not allow an earned run in three of his last four outings, including a 6-inning, 1-earned-run performance April 30 against Detroit. Michael Lorenzen: The Rockies starter has been inconsistent but showed his potential April 24 at the New York Mets, when he tossed seven innings of one-run ball. In his last home start April 19 against the Los Angeles Dodgers, Lorenzen allowed three earned runs in five innings but still earned the win. Recent history The Rockies defeated the Braves 6-1 on Friday in the first game of the three-game series. Colorado scored five runs in the first three innings and held Atlanta to four hits. The Braves lost their previous game before Friday, falling 5-2 to the Detroit Tigers on April 30. Atlanta had won four straight before that loss. Probabilities Interstat’s game simulator projects a 7-4 Braves victory. Interstat’s ELO system gives Atlanta a 69.20 percent probability to win. Up next The Braves conclude their series against the Rockies on Sunday before traveling to Seattle for a three-game set starting Monday. The Rockies host the New York Mets in a four-game series beginning Monday. AP MLB: https://apnews.com/hub/MLB
