MILWAUKEE (Interstat) — The Pittsburgh Pirates and Milwaukee Brewers continue their three-game series Saturday at American Family Field, with the Pirates aiming for a second straight win after a dominant 6-0 victory Friday. Pittsburgh (15-11) sends right-hander Mitch Keller (2-1, 3.86 ERA) to the mound. Keller has won his past two decisions, including a six-inning, two-run outing against Texas on April 22. The Pirates have won three of his five starts this season. Milwaukee (13-12) counters with rookie right-hander Jacob Misiorowski (1-2, 4.70 ERA), who is seeking his first win since April 12. Misiorowski lasted only four innings in his last start, allowing five runs (four earned) in a loss at Miami on April 18. The Brewers are projected as favorites per Interstat’s ELO system, which gives them a 63.6 percent probability to win. The spread is Milwaukee -1.5, with an over/under of 8 runs. Interstat’s game simulator predicts a 5-4 Pirates victory. Saturday’s starters will face a Pirates lineup that erupted for six runs Friday, keyed by shortstop Konnor Griffin’s 3-for-4 performance with a home run and three RBIs. Pittsburgh’s Paul Skenes contributed a dominant seven-inning, one-hit, seven-strikeout outing on the mound. Skenes, who has a 4-1 record with a 0.78 ERA over his past five starts, will not pitch again in this series. For Milwaukee, right-hander Brandon Woodruff took the loss Friday, allowing three earned runs over five innings. Woodruff has been inconsistent this season, with a 2-2 record and a 3.86 ERA. Catcher William Contreras went 0-for-4 in the series opener and is hitting .265 on the year. The Brewers have lost four of their past six games, including a series loss at Detroit earlier this week. Pittsburgh has won four of its past five, with the only blemish a 6-1 loss at Texas on April 23. Weather at game time is forecast to be 63 degrees with cloud cover, with no precipitation expected. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. CDT. The series concludes Sunday afternoon before both teams head into interleague play next week. Pittsburgh returns home to face St. Louis on Monday, while Milwaukee hosts Arizona for a three-game set starting Tuesday.
