ANAHEIM, Calif. (Interstat) — The Vegas Golden Knights and Anaheim Ducks meet Thursday at Honda Center for Game 6 of their first-round playoff series, with the best-of-seven matchup tied at 2-2. Vegas (45-47 overall) enters on a 4-3 loss to Anaheim on Sunday, a game in which left wing Pavel Dorofeyev scored a goal and fired four shots on net. Dorofeyev has been a consistent threat against the Ducks this series, recording a goal and an assist in four games while totaling seven shots on goal over the last two contests. The 25-year-old Russian also posted a hat trick in a 5-4 win over Utah on April 29. Anaheim (49-43) counters with center Tim Washe, who contributed two hits in Sunday’s victory. Washe has been a physical presence in the series, collecting four hits and two penalty minutes across the four playoff games. He also recorded an assist and two shots in a 7-4 win over Edmonton on April 24. The series has been tightly contested. Vegas won Games 1 and 3 — 3-1 on May 4 and 6-2 on May 8 — while Anaheim took Games 2 and 4, 3-1 on May 6 and 4-3 on Sunday. The Ducks’ home-ice advantage has been neutral so far: both teams have won once at Honda Center. Thursday’s game marks only the second time this season Anaheim has hosted a potential series-clinching game. The Ducks finished with a winning record on home ice, though they dropped two of three regular-season meetings against Vegas at Honda Center, including a 4-3 overtime loss Nov. 22 and a 4-3 regulation loss Feb. 1. The Golden Knights, meanwhile, are 3-2 on the road in the postseason. Vegas’ offense relies heavily on its top line. Mitchell Marner had three assists in Sunday’s loss, while Jack Eichel added two. The Golden Knights have averaged 3.25 goals per game in the series. Anaheim counters with balanced scoring but struggled to generate sustained pressure in their 6-2 loss in Game 3. Dorofeyev leads Vegas with five points (four goals, one assist) in his last six games, including a goal in three of four playoff contests. Washe has three points (one goal, two assists) in his past six games, with the majority of his production coming against Edmonton in the first round. Faceoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. PDT. The winner advances to the second round; a Game 7 would be Saturday in Las Vegas.
