Preview: Ducks at Golden Knights, Game 2 LAS VEGAS (Interstat) — The Anaheim Ducks and Vegas Golden Knights resume their best-of-seven playoff series Wednesday night at T-Mobile Arena, with Game 2 set for a pivotal early test of depth. The series is tied 0-0 after Monday’s 0-0 stalemate. Anaheim enters the game with a 47-41 regular-season record, while Vegas finished 43-45. The Ducks advanced past Edmonton in six games, while the Golden Knights eliminated Utah in a five-game series, with both clubs showing resilience in high-scoring affairs. Anaheim forward Troy Terry has been a catalyst, posting five points in his last three games, including a goal and two assists in the Ducks’ 5-2 series-clinching win over the Oilers on April 30. In that contest, Terry logged five shots on goal and one hit, building on a playoff stretch that has seen him register multiple points in three of his last six outings. He has a goal and three assists in his past two against Vegas. Vegas counters with Mitchell Marner, who erupted for two goals and an assist in the Golden Knights’ 5-1 series-closing victory against Utah on May 1, adding seven shots and a hit. Marner has seven points in his last six playoff games and has been a consistent threat on the power play, with assists in four of his last five contests. The Ducks’ most recent result, a 5-2 home win over Edmonton on April 30, also featured strong contributions from Chris Kreider (goal, two assists) and Leo Carlsson (goal, two assists, hit). Vegas’s 5-1 win at Utah on May 1 saw Colton Sissons chip in a goal. Head-to-head, the teams split four regular-season meetings, with three of those games decided by a single goal and two requiring overtime. Anaheim won the most recent matchup, a 4-3 overtime decision in Anaheim on Feb. 1, while Vegas fell 4-3 in overtime in the Nov. 8 meeting at T-Mobile Arena. Wednesday’s game marks the second of up to seven in the series. The Ducks and Golden Knights meet again Friday in Anaheim for Game 3, with Game 4 set for Sunday in Anaheim. Faceoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. Pacific.
