Minnesota aims to regain momentum after a 2-1 road loss to the Nashville Predators on Saturday snapped a four-game winning streak. The Wild had previously won five of their last six, showcasing the form that propelled them into the playoff picture. Forward Michael McCarron, a player to watch for Minnesota, scored the team’s lone goal in the Nashville loss. He has recorded a goal, six shots on net and nine hits over his last six games. St. Louis enters on a positive note after a 5-3 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday. Goaltender Joel Hofer, expected to start Monday, made 32 saves in that win. Hofer has been a bright spot during a difficult season, posting a 3-1-1 record with a .925 save percentage over his last five appearances. The season series between the clubs is split 1-1. The Blues earned a 3-1 victory in Minnesota on March 1, but were shut out 5-0 by the Wild in St. Louis in their first meeting back on Oct. 9, 2025. For the Wild, the game serves as a final tune-up before the Stanley Cup Playoffs begin later this week. They will look to fine-tune special teams and defensive structure after allowing five goals in a loss at Dallas last week. The Blues, playing for pride and evaluation, will aim to close a disappointing campaign on a high note in front of their home fans.
