Preview: Kings, Kraken Meet in Seattle With Identical Records SEATTLE (Interstat) — Two teams with matching records and fading playoff hopes will meet when the Los Angeles Kings visit the Seattle Kraken on Monday night at Climate Pledge Arena. Both clubs enter the April 13 contest with 34 wins and 45 losses across all competitions, leaving them well outside the Western Conference playoff picture. The matchup represents one of the final home games of the season for the Kraken. The Kings arrive riding a wave of strong goaltending from Anton Forsberg, who will be a key player to watch. Forsberg is coming off a 27-save shutout in a 1-0 victory over Edmonton on Saturday. In his last five starts, he has four wins, allowing just six total goals in those victories. His recent form provides a bright spot for Los Angeles, which has won three of its last four games, including that tight win over the Oilers where Artemi Panarin scored the lone goal. Seattle counters with its own hot goaltender in Niklas Kokko. The rookie earned a 4-1 win over Calgary on Saturday, making 26 saves. He has provided stability for a Kraken team that has struggled with consistency, alternating wins and losses in its last six outings. Recent history in the series favors the Kraken. Seattle has won all three meetings against Los Angeles this season: a 4-2 win in Los Angeles on Feb. 4, a 3-2 victory on Dec. 23, 2025, and a 3-2 overtime triumph at home on Dec. 10, 2025. For the Kings, captain Anze Kopitar continues to be a steadying presence, while Panarin looks to build on his game-winning performance from Saturday. Seattle will rely on forwards like Frederick Gaudreau and Jordan Eberle, who each scored in the win over Calgary. The game is the first of a back-to-back set for Los Angeles, which travels to face Vancouver on Tuesday. Seattle begins a two-game road trip in Vegas on Wednesday. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. PDT at Climate Pledge Arena.
