Struggling Canucks Face Playoff-Chasing Ducks in Anaheim ANAHEIM, Calif. (Interstat) — The Vancouver Canucks, mired at the bottom of the NHL standings, visit the Anaheim Ducks at Honda Center on Sunday looking to play spoiler against a club fighting for its postseason life. The matchup pits the league-worst Canucks (22-56-0) against a Ducks squad (42-37-0) that remains on the fringe of the Western Conference playoff race. Anaheim enters having won two of its last three, including a decisive 6-1 victory over San Jose on Thursday. Vancouver has lost eight of its last nine, most recently a 4-1 defeat in Los Angeles on the same night. A key player to watch for the Canucks is right wing Brock Boeser, who has been a rare bright spot during the team’s prolonged slump. Boeser has recorded seven points (four goals, three assists) in his last 10 games, including a three-goal, one-assist performance in an 8-6 win over Colorado on April 1. He also scored in the last meeting with Anaheim, a 5-3 Ducks victory in Vancouver on March 24. For the Ducks, center Tim Washe provides a physical presence. In the March 24 win over Vancouver, Washe registered one shot and one hit. He has one assist and 10 hits in his last 10 contests. The season series is tied 1-1-0. After the Ducks’ win last month, the Canucks took the earlier meeting 2-0 in Vancouver on Jan. 29. In their last visit to Anaheim on Nov. 26, 2025, Vancouver won 5-4. Statistical models heavily favor the home team. National Statistical’s game simulator projects a 3-1 Anaheim victory, and its ELO rating system gives the Ducks a 65.8% probability of winning. Following this game, the Canucks host Los Angeles on Tuesday. The Ducks embark on a road trip, starting in Minnesota on Tuesday.
